I actually don’t like the statement “Life isn’t meant to be easy”. What about if you add, as it was said originally, “It is meant to be Lived”. It certainly changes the statement greatly. I believe life is meant to be easy and yes life is to be enjoyed. How is that possible when life appears to be so complicated? Well of course we have things we have to deal with, we experience difficulties in life, but, if we don’t allow our thoughts to be constantly IN the problem, we find the way to deal with whatever is happening without the anguish of our entire being.

Symbol of Heart
The symbol of the incomplete heart reveals to me that we are open to experiencing more on so many levels. We have the capacity to love more, to learn more, to experience more, to live more fully and to express more love, particularly self love. And yet we are complete in every moment of every day. When we see ourselves as open and allowing we are enriching our lives in every moment. We are perfect. When we realise we are perfect then there is nothing wanting in our lives. We feel complete and grateful rather than wishing and praying for things to be different. When we look at a flower, we see the beauty of it, we smell the perfume and delight in its creation. We don’t pick it up and judge the imperfections that it may show. For there are no imperfections in life, it just is the way it is. There are no imperfections within you, you are perfect in every way. Imperfections are a judgement you make upon yourself. Love yourself and see yourself as perfect as I know you are.

Drama or Life?
What a crazy amazing world we live in. I am constantly amazed at how fast everything changes and sometimes how things have changed without you even being aware of it. We allow so much life to just slip through our fingers because we are not present in our lives. Have you looked back and realised that you no longer do some things that you used to enjoy. How did that happen? It appears to have happened without you being aware of it. I could list a lot of things that I used to really enjoy but don’t do anymore.
My life is not in balance, I have filled those empty spots with things that do not really make my heart sing. Amazing is it not. Therefore, I need to be present and bring back the joy and fulfilment into my life experience. To do that I need to let go of some of the things presently in my life to make way for the things that fill me with joy. Oh now I have decisions, decisions to make. Can I do that, do I have the time. Life becomes a roundabout as I can’t make up my mind what to change, how to make a space. Then life continues on without any changes, then I complain once again. Hold on, stop. Grab a bit of paper and list the things in your life hour by hour, day by day, week by week and month and year by month and year that you presently do. Take the time to do it. The things on your list, do you want to do that, do you enjoy that? Be honest. Sometimes we do things out of necessity, mostly we just fill our time with things that have little or no meaning for us. We have just filled a space.
How much time do you spend watching television mindlessly. Some programs fill us with joy, but mostly we are tuned out of life and allowing the mediocre of the program to fill another space. Now we have the mobile phone, ipads, computers and so on to fill our time with mindless things. We have become so engrossed in technology we forget to communicate with our partners, families, friends and family. We send texts instead of speaking. Nothing can substitute for the vibration and connection of the human voice. Now I love technology as much as everyone else, but have we crossed the line and allowed technology to rule our lives. Are you playing a mindless game rather than engaging in conversation or expanding your knowledge. I have been guilty of this. Try and go without your phone for a weekend, oh no, withdrawal symptoms. If someone does not answer our call in the first few seconds, we think they are ignoring us. What have we done wrong? We fill our present moments with so much and then wonder why we have so little time to enjoy life.
Our thoughts are going a million miles an hour and clogging our time and we run out of time!!!!!! Oh the drama of life. What does it mean to be present. In the present, there is no past, no future, just the essence of life in the moment. Nearly all our thoughts are either focussed in the future or the past. Worry, fear, doubt, jealousy, anger are all products of the thoughts of the mind that is focussed in the future or the past.
In the present moment everything is alive, has energy. In the present moment we can enjoy life, for we allow our thoughts to be still and just feel the vibration of life. So where is the best place for us to live????? I want to live in the present moment and be happy and fulfilled. It is only my mind that prevents me from living there……When my thoughts wander from the present moment, I will bring it back by being present…I will concentrate on my breath and feel the energy of my body and absorb the sounds and movement around me and I will find peace and life.

How Do You Deal With Situations In Your Life?
How do you deal with situations in your life?
We deal with things that happen in our life in many different ways. Take anger for instance, some people yell, some cry, some lash out physically, some go silent and retreat. The way we deal with anger is often how our parents dealt with anger without us even being aware of it. My Mother did the silent treatment, when she went silent; we knew we were in trouble. I also find I use the silent treatment and need to find another way of dealing with situations. It is my inability to speak out for myself.
As you know all the things we learn happen in the first seven years of our life. It is in this time that we learn how to behave, taught to us by the adults around us. We learn to use emotions to get what we want, a child putting on a tantrum to get the lolly, or pouting and going away sulking to get the same result. As a result we take that emotion into our teenage and adult lives and use those same emotions to get what we want. We become abusive or submissive. Usually we are one or the other, but at times we can also slip from the submissive to the abuser depending on the situation and people around us.
As part of our upbringing and preservation instinct within us we have learnt to control others by our behavior/emotions. Our physical or Ego mind wants to be in control. We have all been submissive at some stage in our lives just as we have been in control, and we prefer to be in control. There is an element of power in control that the ego mind likes. It justifies the control by saying it has to protect itself in this big bad world we live in and needs to be protected, and also protect those around us.
We use control in all of our situations. We manipulate others to our opinions, our desires, our way of doing things so that the ego mind can feel powerful or safe. This is done on a level in our consciousness that we may not even be totally aware of, because we do not connect in with our thoughts. We have approx 2,000,000 thoughts each day. Wow, no wonder we have lost control of ourselves. To stop overload of our brains a lot of these thoughts are not in our awareness, they just happen. As different situations arise, our consciousness just reacts the same way it always has, no need for conscious thought. The emotional body has always reacted that way so it just continues the process. That is why sometimes we find ourselves deep in the emotional destruction and wonder how we got there. It is our processes working efficiently for us or as it has been previously programmed.
How do we re-program ourselves so that we stop reacting negatively every time situations come up. What I do is when I feel the emotion rising, I stop and tune into my thoughts. Then I ask the questions: Why am I feeling this way? What has happened to make me feel this way? Do I need to feel this way? Do I need to express my opinion, or is it not important? Why am I reacting to those words? Is it the emotion, tone of voice or words? Then once I realise what has triggered the response I had, I then acknowledge it and push it away as I no longer have to feel that way, I can make better choices etc. I have even gone to the stage of physically stepping to a new position to stand, because that reminds my ego mind that I am making a change to the way I am behaving or thinking.
This process takes some time but is so worth the effort that you put into it. The more you do it, the less it will happen until it completely disappears from your thought processes. At first you might be in the middle of an argument and then realise that you need to stop. If that happens just excuse yourself and go away quietly and process and release. The more you do that, the quicker you will realise that you need to step out of the emotion instantly even before words can be spoken. Take control of your own thoughts and emotions and don’t control others thoughts and emotions.
This is such a freeing exercise. It takes a lot of energy to control others and situations, when you let go of the control it is as if a great burden is lifted from you and you can experience peace.

Responsibility
The sun is an essential ingredient to life. Over the last few years we have been told to keep out of the sun and cover up and now they are finding that we are deficient in Vitamin D. When are we going to stop being dictated by “experts”, who appear to change their minds all the times.
We need to take responsibility for our own lives and then we would not allow others to control us and tell us what to do. If we take responsibility for our own actions and words and understand that we also are a divine being connected to everyone and everything, then we would only do what is perfect for the greater good of humanity. Why would we choose to say or do something to hurt or control another being when we would be hurting ourselves at the same time. We are all one Energy manifesting in different forms in this lifetime.
Take responsibility for getting the perfect amount of food, water, sun, laughter and wisdom. You know what is perfect for you. Listen to your own body. Tune into it each day and ask what it needs to be the healthiest it possibly can be. Sit in the sunshine, but don’t allow yourself to burn. That is taking responsiblity for your life. Don’t blame anyone else for any problems you may have. You make choices each day of what you want to do. Take back your power and live purposefully and joyfully.
When you take back your power you can see how important it is to live as authentically as you possibly can. If you aren’t true to yourself, then you will never be truthful to others. Look within for the wisdom, the truth and the Light and then life will flow to you the way you want it to go.
Have the most amazing day and take responsibility for every word, every thought and every action you have.

Wow what a beautiful day here in Queensland. Cloudy with patches of brilliant sunshine. Stillness in the air.
How are you going to spend your week to come? Seek who you are inside. Feel your connection with the inner energy that you are and let it expand out into the outer energy until there is no space between. Then you will truly be sitting in your own Power and always be surrounded by love and light.

Don’t Let Small Things Win
In our everyday lives we encounter numerous things that can cause us distress or create fear inside of us. Usually these things are temporary, so don’t give your power away to things that tomorrow will not exist anyway.
How often have we worried about a meeting for 2 days time and we play the scenarios over and over in our mind and think the worst possible outcomes etc etc etc, only to find that when the meeting happens everything is resolved easily and effortlessly.
What a lot of energy or power you waste in needless thoughts when you could have been enjoying the days as they passed laughing and enjoying life.
Always trust that the outcome will be for your highest good and then let the situation take care of itself.
Don’t let the small things in life take away your power. Let life be the winner, not your fears and insecurities.
