How Do You Deal With Situations In Your Life?

How do you deal with situations in your life?

We deal with things that happen in our life in many different ways.  Take anger for instance, some people yell, some cry, some lash out physically, some go silent and retreat.  The way we deal with anger is often how our parents dealt with anger without us even being aware of it.  My Mother did the silent treatment, when she went silent; we knew we were in trouble.  I also find I use the silent treatment and need to find another way of dealing with situations.  It is my inability to speak out for myself.

As you know all the things we learn happen in the first seven years of our life.  It is in this time that we learn how to behave, taught to us by the adults around us.  We learn to use emotions to get what we want, a child putting on a tantrum to get the lolly, or pouting and going away sulking to get the same result.  As a result we take that emotion into our teenage and adult lives and use those same emotions to get what we want.  We become abusive or submissive.  Usually we are one or the other, but at times we can also slip from the submissive to the abuser depending on the situation and people around us.

As part of our upbringing and preservation instinct within us we have learnt to control others by our behavior/emotions.  Our physical or Ego mind wants to be in control.  We have all been submissive at some stage in our lives just as we have been in control, and we prefer to be in control.  There is an element of power in control that the ego mind likes.  It justifies the control by saying it has to protect itself in this big bad world we live in and needs to be protected, and also protect those around us.

We use control in all of our situations.  We manipulate others to our opinions, our desires, our way of doing things so that the ego mind can feel powerful or safe.  This is done on a level in our consciousness that we may not even be totally aware of, because we do not connect in with our thoughts.  We have approx 2,000,000 thoughts each day.  Wow, no wonder we have lost control of ourselves.  To stop overload of our brains a lot of these thoughts are not in our awareness, they just happen.  As different situations arise, our consciousness just reacts the same way it always has, no need for conscious thought.  The emotional body has always reacted that way so it just continues the process.  That is why sometimes we find ourselves deep in the emotional destruction and wonder how we got there.  It is our processes working efficiently for us or as it has been previously programmed.

How do we re-program ourselves so that we stop reacting negatively every time situations come up.  What I do is when I feel the emotion rising, I stop and tune into my thoughts.  Then I ask the questions: Why am I feeling this way? What has happened to make me feel this way?  Do I need to feel this way?  Do I need to express my opinion, or is it not important?  Why am I reacting to those words?  Is it the emotion, tone of voice or words?  Then once I realise what has triggered the response I had, I then acknowledge it and push it away as I no longer have to feel that way, I can make better choices etc.  I have even gone to the stage of physically stepping to a new position to stand, because that reminds my ego mind that I am making a change to the way I am behaving or thinking.

This process takes some time but is so worth the effort that you put into it.  The more you do it, the less it will happen until it completely disappears from your thought processes.  At first you might be in the middle of an argument and then realise that you need to stop.  If that happens just excuse yourself and go away quietly and process and release.  The more you do that, the quicker you will realise that you need to step out of the emotion instantly even before words can be spoken.  Take control of your own thoughts and emotions and don’t control others thoughts and emotions.

This is such a freeing exercise.  It takes a lot of energy to control others and situations, when you let go of the control it is as if a great burden is lifted from you and you can experience peace.

Responsibility

The sun is an essential ingredient to life. Over the last few years we have been told to keep out of the sun and cover up and now they are finding that we are deficient in Vitamin D. When are we going to stop being dictated by “experts”, who appear to change their minds all the times.
We need to take responsibility for our own lives and then we would not allow others to control us and tell us what to do. If we take responsibility for our own actions and words and understand that we also are a divine being connected to everyone and everything, then we would only do what is perfect for the greater good of humanity. Why would we choose to say or do something to hurt or control another being when we would be hurting ourselves at the same time. We are all one Energy manifesting in different forms in this lifetime.

Take responsibility for getting the perfect amount of food, water, sun, laughter and wisdom. You know what is perfect for you. Listen to your own body.  Tune into it each day and ask what it needs to be the healthiest it possibly can be.  Sit in the sunshine, but don’t allow yourself to burn. That is taking responsiblity for your life. Don’t blame anyone else for any problems you may have. You make choices each day of what you want to do. Take back your power and live purposefully and joyfully.

When you take back your power you can see how important it is to live as authentically as you possibly can.  If you aren’t true to yourself, then you will never be truthful to others.  Look within for the wisdom, the truth and the Light and then life will flow to you the way you want it to go.

8th April 2013 Seek You

Wow what a beautiful day here in Queensland. Cloudy with patches of brilliant sunshine. Stillness in the air.

How are you going to spend your week to come? Seek who you are inside. Feel your connection with the inner energy that you are and let it expand out into the outer energy until there is no space between. Then you will truly be sitting in your own Power and always be surrounded by love and light.

Have an awesome week and remember to hug someone you really love and let them know you love them.

Don’t Let Small Things Win

In our everyday lives we encounter numerous things that can cause us distress or create fear inside of us. Usually these things are temporary, so don’t give your power away to things that tomorrow will not exist anyway.

How often have we worried about a meeting for 2 days time and we play the scenarios over and over in our mind and think the worst possible outcomes etc etc etc, only to find that when the meeting happens everything is resolved easily and effortlessly.

What a lot of energy or power you waste in needless thoughts when you could have been enjoying the days as they passed laughing and enjoying life.

Always trust that the outcome will be for your highest good and then let the situation take care of itself.

Don’t let the small things in life take away your power. Let life be the winner, not your fears and insecurities.

Spirit Connections, Healings and Psychic Medium Readings

I am a Messenger of Spirit, passing on the words of Spirit though readings, channeling and healing. I also run workshops on different spiritual topics to assist people to realise their true potential.

Guide Readings – I channel one of your guides or someone from your soul group to connect with you to help you to understand some part of your current life. This channeling gives insight into why you feel this way, often releases blockages of past life times as well.

Healings – I use many different modalities depending of what is your need at the time. My healings are also a mixture of meditation and energy transference.

Soul healings connect you back into the Divine essence of your Being and gives you a knowingness of Who You Truly Are. Gives you clarity and heals on all levels of your being. Truly an awesome experience.

2013 Are You On Track

I’m sure that you all did so much work at the end of 2012 to release old beliefs and patterns and ended the year knowing that you were ready for 2013.

It may be time to just revise those things that you released to just make sure that you haven’t picked up those old beliefs and patterns as sometimes we just drift back into our old ways of thinking without even realising it.

Be clear of what you want to achieve in 2013. Remember “WHO YOU ARE” and live in that energy of Spirit and love. Visualise those things that you want to achieve and stay focused.

Are you still not sure what it is that you want? Then define what it is that you DON”T want and start from there.

Enjoy creating a NEW YOU and have fun. Take the time to be still and meditate. Daydream and know that what you want or desire can be yours. Remember to laugh and enjoy the journey.

Flowing with Life

We have gained so much knowledge over our lifetimes, now is the time to use that knowledge and live in peace and stillness. We can achieve that by letting go of our fears and insecurities and just allowing the freedom of life to flow. Abraham, channeled through Ester Hicks, talks about flowing with the flow of life. Imagine we are in a boat, flowing in the current of life. When we get consumed by fears it is as if we are trying to row our boat upstream, so much effort required and not achieving anything anyway. Let go of the oars (our fears) and the boat will turn around and we will flow with the current again. Then the stream of life will take us to what we require, what we need and we can enjoy the journey xx

I Believe In You

Beautiful day, sun shining and warm. Imagine the warmth of the sun as the love of God/Spirit telling you how special you are. You are the same energy as God/Spirit, no less, so you must be magnificent. I know you are, I believe in you and your greatness.

We all have greatness within ourselves whether we know it or not. We are all born with the ability to use out intuition, our psychic abilities or clairvoyant abilities.

In some people those abilities lie dormant for a lifetime but in others we feel a stirring, a need to know why we are here and why?

That sets us off to find our true selves and understand our journey of life. How exciting to unravel our true identity and find our own path. Sometimes we find blocks upon our path which may be holding us back. We need to identify those blocks so we can go over or around.

Illusion

The purpose of life is to find happiness and peace. We find this by understanding who we are and that all the problems that are weighing us down are just an illusion of the ego mind (our emotional self). Enjoy today and smile at all you meet.
What is illusion? Illusion is when something appears real but it isn’t. For example when a magician does tricks and yet it appears real to us. How do they do it?

We live illusion in our life. We think everything we have ever done in this life is real, but is it? Can you touch your past? We say we can because we talk about it, we imagine it and feel the emotion of that experience, but can you hold it in your hands, is it solid, no? We can never go back and touch and re-live that experience, we can in our thoughts and in our emotions, but not physically reliving the experience. Is that then not like the magician, saying its real, but it isn’t.
When we understand the concept of illusion, it helps us to let go of past emotions. Emotions are created from that experience and we must allow ourselves to have new emotions for each experience we have. How exciting to be able to create a new emotion for each new experience. The emotion that I experienced years ago was created by a different me. Now I am more aware of how I process life and I can make different choices and choose to feel different. I call it allowing your emotions to grow up just as as we age and mature in our physical bodies. From all of my experiences of life and the processing of those experiences I am a different Jenny to the Jenny I was in my teens, my 20’s, 30’s and 40’s and now in my 50’s.

At a younger age I didn’t feel strong enough to defend myself and to not let people say or do things that I didn’t like. Now I can have my opinion and say no or walk away if I don’t like a particular experience.

What freedom that gives me, to feel empowered to be in charge of my own destiny. I can choose peace and happiness. I can choose the people I associate with. I can choose what path I will take in the future or in any moment. I am free, are YOU? Come and be free with me and enjoy each moment of each day.
